West Meck Recap

The game started out with back and forth play, after a late start, having the teams trading scores with each other.  Myers Park begin controlling play and taking a lead into halftime, despite not playing its best rugby.  It seemed like Myers Park continued to take control of play, but a sin bin and some injuries required the shuffling of the lineup.  This movement, and lack of wins in set pieces, led to many long scoring runs from West Meck.  Each time that West Meck scored, Myers Park came back to take the lead again, but in this game, West Meck had the last statement of the game.  With another long run, West Meck pulled within one, and completed the conversion for the 1 point victory, at the whistle.

It was a crushing loss, in the hopes to play for a state championship, but we still have 3rd place to earn, against Providence.  On top of that, we still have our invitation to the South Regionals, where we can earn respect amongst the best high school teams in the south.
